On Istrian Peninsula,
three European civilisations have mixed through history-Roman, Slavic
and German. All European history has stormed through Istria. Here you
can touch the history with your hands, feel its scent and see its
traces.
First we will look at Pula,
fairytale town whose mysterious 3000 years old history you simply have
to explore. One of the most famous Roman amphitheatres in the world - Arena, as well as Hercule’s gate, Augustus temple and other sights. We will continue our drive to Rovinj, the town with many romantic small streets, squares and old palaces and famous church of Saint Euphemia.
Next stop will be a family restaurant where we will enjoy local wine and delicious lunch. After lunch we go to Poreč,
where among many architectural and cultural interesting things, you can
find one of the most beautiful early Bizantine church in Europe - Euphrasian Basilica.
There are interesting luxury mosaics in apse and marble boards with inlays in pearl and multi coloured stones.
