In a pleasant drive through Gorski Kotar and Karlovac we arrive to Zagreb, capital city of Croatia and old middle European town created from two medieval settlements deleping on the two neighbour hills for centuries.
The legend about the name says that Zagreb got its name from the chance meeting when banus said to the girl standing beside the well: “Mandušo,scoop! (zagrabi)”. So this place was called Manduševac, and place Zagreb.
